Since 2009, the Dolomites have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Their mountains have always been a major attraction, both summer and winter, and over the years, more and more people have chosen to visit.

This overcrowding, year after year, creates a significant amount of waste, which, given the morphological nature of the Dolomites, is also difficult to manage. In this case, recyclable plastic bottles are a sustainable solution, as traditional glass bottles are heavy and cumbersome for mountain life.

Imbotex has created a network of leading companies in Northern Italy that, like us, have decided to invest in sustainability in the mountains by recovering these recyclable plastic bottles, reducing them to flakes, and creating a new fiber. With over forty years of experience in recycling and producing regenerated plastic materials, Aliplast offers Imbotex its supply chain to intercept the bottles; while Frana Polifibre handles the production of the fiber.

With this material, Imbotex creates a new wadding we call MOONRISE; warm, soft, and high-performance, a sustainable alternative to traditional polyester padding with a sustainable spirit focused on the mountains.
