Result of a lengthy research on the chemical processes of vegetal structure’s transformation, PLA enables obtaining the same performance as a synthetic product. The real innovation of PLA fibre lies in the fact that all the synthetic fibres currently on the market are obtained through the industrial process of polymerization of hydrocarbons derived from petroleum. Otherwise, PLA fiber polymerizes vegetable substances: plant sugars are transformed into new products through a process of fermentation.
At the same time, this substantial difference permits offering the PLA fibre the same performance as technological fibres derived from petroleum, such as “easy care” products (they do not require ironing and dry quickly).
PLA fiber offers total natural comfort with the typical advantages of technological synthetic products:
